Academy Manager
Katie Palmer
As an alumnus of both SMA and CSYO, Katie is delighted to be returning to Sheffield's bustling music scene. After leaving SMA, Katie completed an undergraduate degree in Music at King's College London, where she studied violin with teachers from the Royal Academy of Music. She acted as Producer for a production of Bach's Coffee Cantata and served as orchestra manager for KCLSO.

Katie rejoined the SMA team in 2024 (in a different capacity!) and has thoroughly enjoyed finding new ways to support the wonderful SMA community. She is excited to continue supporting SMA as Academy Manager.
Administrator
Will Hepworth
Originally from Southwell, Nottinghamshire, Will studied music at the University of Sheffield, graduating with a master’s degree in music management in January of 2026. Starting his musical career as a chorister at Southwell Minster, Will continued singing, joining the University of Sheffield Chamber Choir while also undertaking a choral scholarship at Sheffield Cathedral. Throughout his time at university, Will discovered a passion for jazz, joining Sheffield University Big Band as vocalist, before later becoming Music Director for 2024/25. While at university, Will also developed his administrative and organizational skills, taking on various society committee roles including tour officer, publicity officer, and social secretary. As his first permanent role following his graduation, Will is excited to bring his experience and passion to Sheffield Music Academy.
