The difference we make
“The Academy gave me hope and showed where I can go with music and the inspiration not to give up. Because of the fantastic opportunities and experiences I have had, friends I’ve made, and tuition by musicians with a wealth of experience and expertise, I now feel able to go on to study music full time at university.”

Why do we need your support?
To make sure that the next generation of young musicians achieve their full potential and to help us reach as many young musicians as possible regardless of their financial situation.
Sheffield Music Academy is a small charity with ambitious aspirations to fund and support more than 120 exceptional and passionate musicians in South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, East Ridings and beyond.
In these uncertain times, it is crucial that as well as maximising the bursary support we receive from the Department of Education, we diversify our income to be more resilient and provide a tailored, flexible offer to our students. We already have support from a number of trusts, businesses, and individuals and would love to hear from you if you would like to be involved in the development of our young musicians.
How can you help?
You can make the difference that will allow us to continue to inspire young musicians and help them develop and grow as individuals.
The donations that we receive allow us to offer financial support to students that could not attend the Academy otherwise. They enable us to organise workshops and concerts that showcase the work of the Academy, broaden the musical horizons of our students and ensure that we remain relevant; providing exciting opportunities for the young people we teach and reach out to.
You could sponsor one of our students, provide a one-off or regular donation towards our instruments fund, offer services or products in-kind, use Givingabit.com when shopping online, or simply attend one of our concerts and tell your friends!
