Will is an experienced trumpeter with a wide-ranging career performing with some of the UK’s top orchestras. He has played as Guest Principal Trumpet with the London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Hallé Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, Opera North, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and Orchestra Victoria.

 

 

Outside of orchestras, Will enjoys performing chamber music. He has worked with groups like Onyx Brass, European Brass Ensemble and Ensemble Resonanz, relishing the chance to explore a mix of styles and genres. Will has toured extensively across Europe, Asia and Australia.

 

 

Since 2022 Will has been a brass teacher at the Sheffield Music Academy, and since 2023 has been brass tutor for the City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra. He is extremely passionate about the confidence of young performers, and alongside Garrath, developing an exciting and flourishing brass department.
