On Saturday 11th of March the Friends hosted a Ceilidh social with visiting tutor Simon Dumpleton, leading academy students in a folk band.Students played a variety of instruments including saxophone, cornet, drums and violins.There was a great atmosphere at the event, a wonderful chilli provided by members of the friends and a buffet spread provided by attendees.Everyone had so much fun dancing until exhausted and it was lovely to see family members, friends and staff all joining in.Keep an eye out for details of their next event ‘Summer Garden Party’ on the website.Fundraising Success!The Friends are also thrilled to announce that after reaching a fundraising goal of £5000 the Friends were able to put the money towards the purchase of three new pianos for SMA.Thank you to everyone for their support in helping to achieve this.
