Our core team of administrative staff are the small, powerful motor behind Sheffield Music Academy, ensuring that it runs efficiently and flawlessly. Based in our Psalter Lane offices, they deal with all aspects of the academy, from parent enquiries and timetabling to safeguarding and concert organisation.

Academy Manager
As an alumnus of both SMA and CSYO, Katie is delighted to have returned to Sheffield's welcoming music community. After leaving SMA (having studied violin (and viola)), Katie studied Music at King’s College London, where she developed a broad range of experience in music performance, administration and project management. Alongside her studies, she served as Orchestra Manager for the King’s College London Symphony Orchestra and acted as producer on a performance of Bach’s Coffee Cantata. She rejoined the SMA team as administrator in 2024 and stepped into the Academy Manager role in December 2025. As Academy Manager, Katie combines her passion for supporting SMA behind the scenes with being 'front of desk' each Saturday!
Administrator
Originally from Southwell, Nottinghamshire, Will studied music at the University of Sheffield, graduating with a master's degree in music management in January of 2026. Starting as a chorister at Southwell Minster, he sang with the University of Sheffield Chamber Choir and held a choral scholarship at Sheffield Cathedral, and became Music Director of Sheffield University Big Band for 2024/25. Will is excited to bring his experience and passion to SMA as his first permanent role following graduation.
