Triple SMA Treat at Classical Sheffield Festival 2019

We were thrilled to be part of the Classical Sheffield Festival Weekend this year, hosting three concerts in the beautiful and atmospheric Sheffield City Hall Ballroom.

Two short morning and early afternoon concerts saw a range of our chamber groups and some talented soloists take to the stage to show Sheffield what they have been working on this term. A really appreciative audience made these concerts really special.

SMA joined forces with some players from The Hallé in the evening to perform Brahms' First Symphony under the baton of our esteemed conductor (and woodwind teacher!) Keith Slade. This was a fantastic concert that saw the ballroom full of people. One of our older students also took to the stage to perform the first movement from Grieg's Piano Concerto in A. The atmosphere was electric!

We'd like to thank our friends and partners at Classical Sheffield and Sheffield City Hall for hosting us and programming us in this wonderful festival. We can't wait for the next!
